Camping Airbed

Camping Airbeds by Intex

Camping Airbeds from Intex are the cousins of the famous Intex Home Airbeds, but they are designed with the additional demands of the great outdoors in mind. More engineering has gone into the concept of durability. As power sources may be limited in the outdoors, the Intex Camping Airbeds have specially designed foot pumps to quickly inflate the airbeds – without causing you to pass out in the process!

Camping Mats

For the young and hardy Intex have a range of inflatable camping mats in many sizes. They are made from laminated vinyl for durability in all elements.

Each mat has a fabric topping to avoid the ‘sleeping on rubber’ feel associated with older inflatables. The air mats are easy to fold and carry in a backpack. They also suit those camping on a budget. These mats have an added advantage in that they can be dual-purpose:  you can sleep on them at night and you can use them in pools or lakes during the day.

An alternative version is the Intex Wave Camping Mat. This has a gnarled or bubbled surface area so it provides comfort with less inflation. Its roll-up-and-go facility combined with its light weight makes this version even more suitable for hikers and backpackers.

Downy Airbeds

Fro those who enjoy the outdoors, but hanker after the comforts of home, the Intex Downy range is ideal. These airbeds inflate with either an electric or hand-operated pump, but like all the camping airbeds it comes with an inbuilt bellows foot pump.

The mattress surface consists of vinyl beams that prevent bumps and sagging when in use, and the 8.75” thickness of the mattress means that the sleepers are well above ground level. They can even use sheets if they wish.

The Downy Airbeds come in Twin, Full and Queen sizes.

The prestige Downy is dearer, and for the extra cost you get a powerful, battery-operated pump. Also, the flocked top is designed with camping in mind; it is completely waterproof and has a special, easy-clean treatment. Note that the battery-operated pump can be detached and used with other inflatable items.

Comfort-Top

The Comfort-Top range of Intex Camping Airbeds provides another step up. The construction is different from the airbeds already described. The Comfort-Top has a unique welding system to counteract the sagging and side-to-side dip that you often find in less expensive airbeds. The plush, flock surface covers not only the mattress top, but it also extends down the sides. There is a pillow top feature and a powerful electric pump is built-in.

The Comfort-Top comes in the conventional three sizes: Twin, Full and Queen.

Super-Tough Airbed

As the name suggests, the Super-Tough Airbed is designed to cope easily with the harshest of conditions and treatments in the outdoors. It is a light-weight airbed, yet it is engineered from an unbelievably strong fabric. It has a special construction that combines internal pillars. This provides excellent support, along with the reassurance that your airbed is strong and durable and is virtually puncture-proof.

The Super-Tough comes with a semi-automatic bellows foot pump, which makes inflation easy without having to rely on batteries or mains-electric power.

Unlike most others in the Intex range of Camping Airbeds, the Super-Tough is available in two sizes only: Twin and Queen.
